Personality:
Hackbrett is a carefree guy who enjoys gambling and flirting with women. When he first joined Staccato at age 23, there were only three things that he cared about: Money, booze and women. He is mostly very jovial but can be perverted at times which has led to his face being punched, slapped, etc. He likes bathroom humor and crude jokes, and surprisingly he’s a hopeless romantic.

History: He was born in Ravel Bolero to a poor farming family, who sold him into slavery at the age of 6. Abused and overworked for most of his childhood, he managed to escape slavery and slip onto a boat when he was thirteen. It turned out to be a pirate ship and when he was found, instead of the pirates doing something pirate-like and killing him, they took to his crude nature and made him one of their own. He now owns his own pirate ship, The Glissando, and crew, and is probably one of the wealthiest men in Traviata. Although he is a pirate and steals most of his wealth, he never forgot the poor life that he came from does his best to protect and help those who cannot do so for themselves.
He had various flings. He was once in love with the former leader of Staccato, Giselle, but after being spurned he left to sea and returned sporting a longer hairdo and a new scar across the bridge of his nose.
He also briefly dated Sonata, a member of the Diminuendo division, when she separated from Breaker, an officer of Crescendo (and his best bro). He thought it was unfair the way she was being treated in the relationship and offered her a friendship through desserts and the common interest of being spurned by who you love. Their friendship developed into romance, but lasted only briefly due to Hackbrett knowing that Sonata could never really love him the way he loved her.
Then there is Bimini the mermaid, the subject he does not like to speak upon. He rescued her from a cave where she had been trapped and a romance sparked between them .For Bimini it turned into an obsession, and when Hackbrett tried to break things off with her, she is the one who gave him the scar across the bridge of his nose. When Hackbrett met and fell in love with Rasia, Bimini was always lurking in the shadows, vowing that Hackbrett would be her own again.

Hackbrett’s greatest fear was once becoming a father, as his own parents sold him into slavery to keep themselves alive. He never wanted to be put in a situation where he had to choose. Now his greatest fear is losing the love of his life, his fiancé Rasia Miramarr, who was almost stolen from him. Hackbrett almost died protecting her and since then, they are pretty much inseparable.

Other Info: He loves playing the dulcimer and composing love songs. He had a special sword crafted to hide inside of it, that way he can keep it hidden and attack while most think he is weaponless. Since he is a pirate, he has a special skill of speed, since being slow with a sword would cost him his life in a confined space.

Surprisingly, Hackbrett can be a gentleman around ladies he cares greatly about.

The necklace he wears is an incense infuser given to him by the leader of a Gypsy tribe Rasia was currently with making him an official gypsy and bestowing their blessing among the couple.
He is currently engaged to ~norukulegend’s Rasia Miramarr and they are in currently in debates on wedding arranging.
